The Process
During your CBT sessions with me in Swindon, we will work together to help you deal with your overwhelming problems in a more positive way. Most CBT sessions in Swindon will last between 10 and 20 weeks.
-
I work with you to identify negative thoughts and beliefs that are impacting your mental health.
-
We then work together to challenge and question these negative thoughts, looking for evidence to support or refute them.
-
We develop more realistic and positive thoughts as an alternative to the negative ones.
-
We set goals for the therapy, outlining what you hopes to achieve by the end of the sessions.
-
I teach you new skills and techniques during our sessions to help you cope with difficult situations and emotions. You then practice these techniques.
